Oak Room
The first of two guest rooms located in the residential quarters is the Oak Room. This room received newly painted walls of grey blue. Draperies from the First Lady’s office were transferred to this bedroom and the extra fabric used to make throw pillows. The design team created beautiful coordinating bedspreads and bed skirts for the two double beds found in this room. New carpet was installed and an oil painting, donated to the Foundation by Mrs. Louise Guidry of St. Martinville, hangs over the sofa.
The adjoining bathroom has new wall paper, rugs and a matching shower curtain.
