Family Dining Room
The walls of the family dining room are painted in a celadon stripe and the ceiling, silver gilt. The draperies by Scalamandre’ are a multi on celadon chinoisnie with covered valances. Louisiana antique botanical prints hang on the walls throughout this private dining area. The antique English mahogany two-pedestal dining table, circa 1860, was donated to the Foundation by Dr. and Mrs. B. Rivers Penn of Baton Rouge. It is surrounded by mahogany chairs, each of which boasts a beautiful needle point magnolia, hand crafted by a group of ladies from a previous administration.
Finishing off this room is a Sarouk rug purchased by the Foundation from Persian Rug Gallery in Baton Rouge.
