Guest Sitting Room

In this semi-private guest sitting room, grass cloth wall coverings were placed on the walls, new carpet installed and the furniture re-upholstered to coordinate with the window treatment. Pembroke, mahogany tables along with a mahogany coffee table were purchased by the Foundation.

Adorning the walls of this room hang two Alexander John Drysdale paintings, donated to the Foundation by Mr. Bill Goldring of New Orleans, in memory of W. Prescott Foster, the governor’s brother. The paintings are “Oak Tree with Shack” and “Sunrise Black River”.
