The Executive Board, through its administrative assistant, Sandy McClelland, in conjunction with the Board of Trustee members in Lafayette held a fund raiser at a la carte on October 11, 2007. Many supporters voiced their enthusiasm for a reunion of sorts in the Lafayette area. So, by popular demand, our amazing members of the Lafayette Board of Trustees, Ginger Roy, Judy Wade, Dr. Maitland DeLand, Connie McPherson, Joy Gerhart and Dawn Cole along with Executive Board Member Deni Taylor and the tremendous help of Michael Doumit at a la carte planned a wonderful event. Chef Brian Blanchard, owner of iMonelli and a la carte in Lafayette, Chef Nash Barreca, Nash's Restaurant, Chef Patrick Poupart, Poupart's Bakery and Chef Gilbert Decourt of Artisan Catering were the chefs for the evening. A number of wonderful items, including a trip for 8 on the fabulous Natchez Trace, dinner for 20 by our chefs, a lovely original painting by Melissa Bonin of New Iberia, just to name a few, were auctioned off at our silent auction. A LIVE AUCTION FOR A ONE YEAR LEASE ON A VEHICLE OF THE BUYER'S CHOICE FROM COURTESY MOTORS was also a part of the evening.
