Carey M. Alsobrook

Alsobrook, a Louisiana native from Monroe, currently lives in New Orleans. She graduated from Newcomb College of Tulane University with a BA in art history and history. Interest in furniture, decorations and fine art resulted in over 30 years work in the antique and auction business. Carey is a member of the Appraisers Association of America. Her major focus concerning Louisiana and regional material culture center on research of Louisiana silver. She co-authored Crescent City Silver published by The Historic New Orleans Collection, 1980 which accompanied a major exhibition of New Orleans silver by the same title.
