Art Event 2007

Our 6th annual "Home Showcase of Art" event was held on April 25th at the Governor's Mansion. Various art pieces were selected by our art committee headed by Mr. Roger Ogden joined by Governor Blanco, Mr. David Kahn, Mr. John Bullard, Mr. Thomas Livesay, and Mr. Ned Diefenthal. This year, in conjunction with the art event, we hosted our annual social. Artists whose work was selected for the coming year were our honored guests. The art rotation is a special program in which we invite Louisiana artists and state museums to submit pieces of art for consideration to hang in the Mansion for one year. It is an incredible medium to boast our talented local artists.
